Robert MacFarlane is the pioneering developer behind Beau Rivage, St. Tropez and Riviera, and is the co-developer on Campo Felice, a retirement living community located in the former Ambassador Hotel at 2500 Edwards Drive (opening in the spring).
“We paid attention to every detail on Prima Luce. Southwest Florida is home to amazing sunsets and sunrises that reflect over the Caloosahatchee River. Prima Luce means ‘first light,’ and every residence has a view of the water. It’s a special property and one we are very proud to share with the public,” said Rebekah MacFarlane Barney, manager of Prima Luce, LLC., and daughter of Robert MacFarlane.
Prima Luce features studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom condominiums ranging from 837 – 1,772 square feet. Pricing is from the $200s – $900s. Planned amenities include 325 feet of waterfront, a luxurious zero-entry pool, a spa, social room, business center, library, state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, and more, all looking out onto the river. In addition, Prima Luce will be pet friendly.
Patina Design Group, LLC, and Titsch & Ko Architects, LLC, both located in Fort Myers, partnered on the project, which features a contemporary-transitional design.
“Our architects did a fantastic job with Prima Luce. They captured the lifestyle we envisioned for our residents. The Italians say vivere una vita bella, ‘live a beautiful life’ and that’s the feeling we wanted. Downtown Fort Myers has so much to offer, everything you would ever want really and all within walking distance of your new home. This is your backyard. My father likes to say we ‘build quality at an affordable price.’ We’ve created a community for a wide range of buyers who will all live easily and beautifully at Prima Luce,” said Rebekah MacFarlane Barney.
The interior design of the Prima Luce Sales Center was designed by Dwayne Bergmann Interiors. Bergmann, a highly respected interior designer in Fort Myers, will continue with the project designing the interior common spaces of Prima Luce, including the lobby and amenity spaces.
Construction is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017. “This is a perfect opportunity for people to own on the water. You can live at Prima Luce for the cost of rent and you get so much more,” said Rebekah MacFarlane Barney.
From Fort Myers City Councilman Johnny W. Streets, Jr., Ward 2 (jstreets@cityfortmyers.com): “This has been a long time coming, and it is on time. Prima Luce is more than just a building to house people. It will be home. There is a difference between the two. A dream, a vision on the horizon. The buildings that Robert MacFarlane creates inspire us and reflect who we are as a society.”
